We are a wall of prayer, built with bricks of living stones, defined by time. Our Partnerships reflect this as being based on cost per hour to run the Prayer Room. Right now, it costs about $5000 per month to run the Prayer Room alone. This does not include any Missionary Support, event costs, etc.! Partnership With SHOP
The Salem House of Prayer is a city-wide, multi-denominational 24-hour worship and intercessory ministry to the body of Christ in Salem and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to build a "corporate altar" of night and day prayer where we may stand before Jesus, unified and strengthened in our unyielding love for the worthy Son of Man. We consider it a serious responsibility how we manage the funds entrusted to us by. The Lord stated that if we do not handle well that which is least, how will we be entrusted with that which is greatest: "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" Luke 16:10-11 Earthly riches are a test for the distribution of the true riches of heaven. Therefore, we seek to be faithful in all matters of finances. As you may have guessed, it is quite expensive to keep everything running 24 hours a day. Currently, it costs about 165 dollars a day to keep the Prayer Room open night and day, 365 days a year. Of course, that amount is always changing with rising prices and inflation and so on. Your partnership with us will help us to keep functioning at our current level, as well as enabling us to grow into the future, as the Lord gives further vision and direction. Please consider helping to keep the prayer room open by sponsoring one day a month. A monthly pledge of $165.00 will literally keep the fire burning on the altar of prayer for one whole 24 hour period. Of course any amount, either monthly or one time, is both greatly appreciated and needed, and goes directly to meet the ongoing needs of SHOP. You may also help by sponsoring an Intercessory Missionary on a monthly basis. All of our staff are home Missionaries, and dedicate themselves to either full or part time work at the SHOP Mission base. Each one raises their own financial support as any other Missionary would. Their work includes: intercession, administrative duties, outreach projects, internship helps, teaching, study, event promotions, and a variety of other duties. The work of Intercession is hard work, as all of our staff soon find out. We welcome your participation and are grateful for your support.
