Harp & Bowl

What is “Harp and Bowl” ?
This is simply how we refer to worship & prayer. Though the phrase sounds strange, we find it in scripture, in Revelation 5:8:

“And when He had taken the book, the four living creatures and
the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb,
having each on a harp, and golden bowls full of incense,
which are the prayers of the saints.”

The bowls represent prayer. As a musical instrument, we take the harp to represent worship. We say “harp & bowl” when we combine worship and prayer. Although there are many things to pray about, we must fix our eyes on Jesus in worship first. Without worship, prayer can be difficult. But without prayer, we neglect our place next to the Great Intercessor, Jesus.

Salem House of Prayer Harp and Bowl

Dear friends of SHOP,
I invite you to join us for one of our upcoming “Harp and Bowl” Team Trainings.  This class will introduce you to the tools we use as worshipers and intercessors to communicate within teams while leading corporate meetings.  As many of you know, everyone who is involved with worship and prayer sets/watches must go through this training again in the next couple months as we focus on building prayer/worship teams.  Anyone interested is welcome at the class, whether or not you lead sets.  We are requesting a $10 donation to cover the costs of printing your manuals, which will be yours to keep.
Please let us know you are coming so that we can have a head count.  You can register by replying to this email with your name and number of people coming.
Thanks! We’re praying for you!
